This is simply gorgeous.
See title.
The Reg skips lightly across the Atlantic to bring you premium Bork, fresh from the US of A in The Register's mercifully occasional series of computers behaving badly. Today's example of the breed was spotted by Register reader Josh while rolling along a highway near the Kansas city of Wichita. Normally exciting motorists …
I actually do!
I live in Wichita and just so happen to have seen that sign and yes, it was broken when I saw it too.
This was taken back on April 6th 2019, they should really sort out there software on this thing.
Hell, no. That's one of the more pleasant billboards I've seen.
(When I'm driving through Kansas - which I do pretty frequently - one of the best moments is when I get the hell off I-70. Partly, of course, that's just because now I'm off I-70; but partly it's because billboards seem to be rare on the non-Interstate highways. US-40 is really quite pleasant with no giant advertisements to annoy you once you're through Oakley.)
Not a windows bug but irritating - a local pub with a cash register with a two line display where the programmer seems to have been unaware of the CRLF concept. As a result it comes up with messages like "LERK LOGGED OFF" and "Z SUMO LOGGED OFF".
I've never met Lerk or Sumo but they both sound a bit worrying. (The place is shut now anyway.)
