back to article Come to Malmö for St Peter's. Stay for the Bork

In these trying times it is good to see Windows occasionally matching the global mood with a sad face in The Register's series of BSODdery. Welcome to Scandi-Bork. Today's BSOD, from a reader who adopted the suffix "half a Swede", but is sadly not called "Eric" (for all those Monty Python fans out there) comes from the Swedish …

  1. Oh Matron!

    My swedish friend says:

"If you have a bike in Malmo, you don't"

Funnest thing I've ever heard her say.

Sending in pictures of crashed Windows computers these days is on about the same level as trainspotting.

It was funny the first time, you know, back in 1995. Not so much these days.

(A down vote means you're triggered enough to agree with me.) ;)

Why piss on other people's parades? If you don't like it, skip ahead. And that stuff about being triggered? Very puerile indeed.

It's not like this is stealing your precious airtime.

    Malmö

Dangerous Place. Infested with Mafia, Guns & Explosions (not to mention Coronavirus).

That’s Björk. Named after the sound you want to make when she sings.

    WTF?

    St Peter's

What has St Peter got to do with anything?

We'd order in from a Triangeln retailer called Döner Kebab

You wouldn't if you click on the "Restauranger" link on the website. It's kebab internals served neatly on a plate! No pita bread! With a side bowl of "dip".

    Major food børk.

So more traditional then. Sounds good to me. ;)

Last time BSOD happened on exactly the same screen late last year, it was also zoomed 300%

Thumbs down to all the canned opinions about 'dangerous' Malmo

Agreed, from one who's been there and happily explored many times. That being said, the southern Swedes are extremely down on it too...

Agree. While Brits and Americans fight for the first place, the bronze medal in bashing Malmo is indisputably Swedish.

To put alarming news reports into context, most continental Europeans have barely heard of the place.

Unless, of course, you’re Jewish, because the city administration has pretty much decided the city is a no-go area for you.

    Bah!

I thought Malmo had burned to the ground months ago. I'm almost certain I heard that from a trusted source somewhere ...

    Malmö/Malmø

We do know about Malmö from the Scandi noir series The Bridge (Bron/Broen).

Malmö is on the other end of The Bridge/tunnel from København/Copenhagen.

    Reg reader shopping

I would think that Reg readers would be more interested in the Teknik Magasinet shop in Triangeln, than the ones mentioned.
