    Things have been less rosy for Oracle, which managed just three per cent growth in cloud services and licence support for Q2 Fiscal 2020 [PDF], with $6.8bn in revenues compared to $6.6bn for the same quarter a year earlier.

    And you know what happens when sales are below expectations - you can bet that 25% of them are other deals that have a cloud component (even if that component is free) and the whole thing is reported as cloud.

      It won't be "Oh, joy!" for long for it is only a matter of time now before Oracle launches a synthetic lawsuit of some form or other against Microsoft (more fool them for having anything to do with Oracle).
