back to article Accenture pays for CSS injection from Symantec parent Broadcom: Yep, it bought its cybersecurity services arm

    Waiting

We've asked them if the MessageLabs product (very happy with for many years) is going to get killed off or stay strong, and gotten ZERO response.

No doubt Broadcom exec don't give a crap about anything but money and refused to say how they would gut Symantec, but we are still waiting.

Vultures have been chomping at the bit, ohhh come to Microsoft (which we tried their hack of an unfinished product years ago, but I hear its better now) companies making sales pitches left and right, but none of their products match MessageLabs. I've seen a lot of good companies get murdered by buy outs and gutting them for assets over the years (3DFX we miss you) and it's disgusting. (Dell is one of the worst offenders for buying companies and gutting them).

Still waiting on word of ML demise or saving.

      Re: Waiting

These companies just want to get rid of competition, they don't care if it is a good product or not - they can just buy them out and let them die on the vine - they could care less. It is just one of the disgusting aspects of capitalism, but still the best system we know. Someone else could start the idea over again and just change the name, as long as they aren't violating any copyrights or patents, they could bring back the same service and let someone else buy them out again. A good venture minded group could do just that too. Maybe the old employees will quit and start over again - If they didn't sign any agreements preventing that.

Let me get this straight: In present age of hacking, malicious exploits and ransomware is rife Symantech is offloading CSS?

That's a load of BS right there.
