Actually, this might even drive backup/sync/recovery tech forwards. Not to mention making it harder to divert Western user traffic through Russia or China's spy networks. For such reasons I can only wish it well.

10G connections?

WTF? The backbone needs 10G but the average user doesn't ... anyway the cable companies smallprint will be stating the connection speed are "up to 10G" but will may be lower.

Trademark?

If they have applied for trademark protection it would be an obvious target for counterattack. Trademarks are not allowed to be descriptive in most jurisdictions, so it might be that they have just killed off their own trademark.
