back to article US govt concedes that you can indeed f**k Nazis online: Domain-name swear ban lifted

The US government has conceded that you can indeed fuck Nazis on the internet. You can also shit and piss on the cocksucking motherfucking cu... [we get the picture, Kieren – ed.]... tits [that's enough – ed.] Yes, the "seven dirty words" made famous by the comedian George Carlin in 1972 were until just a few weeks ago also …

      No Scunthorpe in the US

      But I did find Wishita and Toppenish and a selection of male chickens including Onancock. There are also Larsen Bay, Coarsegold, Harsens Island, Marseilles and a few Arsenals.

          I used regular expression searches on a free ZIP code database so I should have found all the shit. I did not search for crap, but since you mention it there is Crapo in Maryland (the other Maryland, not the railway station near Stratford).

          Although the US has no Rambottoms they make up for it with Ship Bottom, Beech Bottom, Hop Bottom, Walnut Bottom, Stony Bottom, Fraziers Bottom, Johnson Bottom, Clover Bottom, Dilles Bottom, Carpenter Bottom, Long Bottom, Broad Bottom, Rubottom, Beaver Bottom and Peach Bottom.

              Foggy Bottom is not in the zip code database. It should be in a list of US historic districts, but I could not quickly find one in plain text format to search.

      I loathe Trump, and I think Kavanaugh is a lying partisan hack who doesn't belong anywhere near any judicial bench, let alone the USSC...

      But I have to give Trump his due. He may not care much himself about "freedom of speech", but his administration on the whole has been more favourable to it than others.

        @veti

        How do you get to that conclusion? Ultimately, I’d say that, with his repeal of net neutrality laws, and his repeated cries of Fake News and claims that journalist are the enemy of the state he’s done more to damage free speech than anyone in the US since McCarthy.

        Certainly, he’s supported the right of the far right to espouse and promote online some of the most vile and socially undesirable concepts - but that isn’t the same thing as supporting free speech at all. In fact, paradoxically*, to truly support free speech it may be necessary to suppress some extremist (right or left) publications (however they’re delivered - on paper, on air or on line)

        *Poppers Paradox which states that if a society is tolerant without limit, its ability to be tolerant will eventually be seized or destroyed by the intolerant.

    Dunno, on what I watched I didn't hear any Nazi slogans, but I sure saw a lot of screaming and instigating of violence by antifa - which kinda boomeranged on them. You know, the guys so brave they had to wear masks and not register legally, who are somehow morally in the right in some eyes?

        Fucks sake! People genuinely downvoting "you can't judge a person's character by the colour of their skin".

        Doesn't mean "you're not allowed to", it means "you won't be assessing their character, just your own".

    Thank nazi for that!

    So by being so incredibly obhorrent and obnoxios and toxic , the nazis have forced the government to give us the weapons to fight back, in this case - swearing.

    Its going to be a long road and several more steps and court cases, before we get "key the car" to "slap in face" to the final solution: "bullet in head"

      That's one way to look at it. Another is Americans now have a new way to give Neustar money to register domains that most people/systems will ignore on account of profanity. Then lawyers wiil have new ways to *.us arguing that although rude words might now be allowed, they could also constitute hate speech, so pay.us
