      More a case of outsourcing everything else to India. Syntel are/were doing 90% of their development / support already.

    Are they still around? I hoped they died a painful death after flogging my endowments to a zombie fund manager and quibbling over the cost of a plumbers estimate over and above the excess of an insurance claim... Never again!

    In other words, this was a layoff decision made solely by senior level finance managers.

    "Every time I walk by, those IT guys are just sitting around playing with computers. The systems obviously run fine without them, so let's get rid of them and save some money!"
