back to article Farmer mooved after reunion with two-year fugitive cow

A fugitive cow has been reunited with her deeply mooved farmer after two years on the run, and occasionally the hoof. The day after her farmer brought Matylda home she escaped from her field in Western Poland, reported AP. Upset with her surroundings, the heifer hoofed it after a fairly brief sojourn. Her owner, Leszek Zasada …

An eyewitness said you could see the cow as it went pasteurise.

Take this matter out to pasture

It behooves a serious publication like The Register to be not reporting this in such a cheesy manner.

"The day after her farmer brought Matylda home"

Cows hate change, worse than cats! She was just trying to figure out how to get back to her real home. If I were her, I'd have belted the original owner galloway into the next county for even thinking about the sale.

Cow's hate change; no wonder is their next move might be to the abattoir

@ tony2heads (was: Re: "The day after her farmer brought Matylda home")

Cow's(sic) truly have no concept of "abattoir". Nor the concept of typ(o)ed English.

But thank you for your contribution.

Police need a pat on the head

An udderly great response from the herds of cops involved. Never cowtow to errant moovers such as this. The capture was over in a flash - pasteurize before you saw it.

Two years to catch a cow

Only in Poland would it take two years to catch a cow. I imagine the people trying to capture the cow were taking trapping lessons from Wild E. Coyote

Re: Two years to catch a cow

two years? thats about how long it takes most men, trouble is you don't realise she's a cow until you get married

This story sounds like a load of bull. To be honest, if I were one of the site managers I'd have a beef with the staff over them trying to milk the customers with stories like this. The readers need buttering up, not fed silage.

    This cow is clever!

If the picture is to be believed, then this cow has managed to find her way to the mythical Polish Carpathian mountains in the south of the country (who knew), and all the Keystones were looking in the west.
