    Starting out in OSX.

Having spent my life coding for DOS, Windows and various 8 bit processors and microcontrollers, I somehow seem to have missed out on all things Apple.

Now I have a remit to port some of my C++ Windows software to OSX (fortunately it uses cross platform frameworks and libraries Qt, VTK and ITK so there's not much in my code that's actually Windows specific).

Can anyone suggest any useful references and resources to get me going - I'm assuming XCode is the Mac compiler of choice.

    Thanks!

Take some courses in BSD. Seriously. You are not prepared for the admin v.s. user reality, nor the filesystem, much less the system utilities.

Or you can buy into Apple's "all stars, rainbows, and my little pony" mythos, and probably fail miserably.
