Admittedly I'm a geek and just got back from the pub but, oh dear god.... that YouTube video had me in tears of laughter. And has now been forwarded to many colleagues.
The 'sequel' pronounciation seems to be about 50% in my experience - rightly or wrongly tends to be mainly the US that use it.
According wikipedia: both forms are in use, although the official name is "my-S-Q-L". Indeed I hear Americans pronouncing it like: sequel.
