Be honest, this is because China is becoming too expensive and labour here is cheaper!

In another few years, they'll be thinking of opening one here in the UK, we have the perfect market for them, of artificially held down labour costs.

      Oh

"Given that wages are still such a small part of the overall manufacturing cost, I don't think wage increases in China will be a major driving force for such a decision,”

Pull the other one mate, your talking to educated people here. Not only is it wage costs, but also workers rights which have gradually been strengthened in China over the last few years. The Indonesians will bend over backwards for this to happen, and we all know what kind of regime runs the country.

Indonesia is a democracy sunshine, with a 2 term limit elected Head of State, Unlike the Poms & Aussies whose regime is based on an hereditary head of state foisted on them as a result of events that happened centuries ago

Apart from China & Brazil, Foxxcon also manufactures in its home country - Taiwan, and the Czech Republic where it happens to be the 2nd largest exporter!.

Lower wages, few workers rights, readily corruptible officials, less health & safety.

Who wouldn't want to build a sweatshop sorry 'factory' there?

    Indeed...

Those pesky Chinese communists are asking all matter of minimum wages, days off and health plans these days.

Doing business in the Peoples Republic is proving to be a bigger hassle than it's worth.

How is a business man supposed to make an honest buck these days without everyone wanting a slice of it for free ?

A bad joke, but a joke nonetheless...

G4S in association with ATOS and Foxconn brings you...

...the twenty-first century British workhouse! Those of you too disabled to actually get out of bed (literally) can now relive the days of yore by being forced to work, and work hard, for your daily gruel! However, things sadly are not totally the same as the good old days - instead of smashing rocks to make railway ballast, you'll be tied to a work bench glueing batteries into Apple iPhones twelve hours a day!

    Slave labor is highly profitable

Consumers should vote their conscience via their wallet. Apple, Microsucks and all the rest would change their ways if their sales dropped like a rock, in protest over the use of Foxconn as a supplier and the use of slave labor at any facility.

    great idea.

because they never have volcanoes, earthquakes, landslides, floods, tsunamis, and various other smitings in Indonesia.
