Degree a bit of a waste of time then

Degree + experience OR 1000 jet experience.

PhD OR 3years experiences teaching kindergarten.

So they can have scientists or just a bunch of people with experience of bombing Iraq and another set reading them a story and telling them it's nap time

Doctorates and/or military career required because..

..they are a good way to ensure that someone is used to doing as they are told and not cocking around. I've often thought the overriding qualification for 'naughtship was a lack of imagination - I know there's no way I'd pass up the opportunity to have my lunch by getting someone to throw it across the capsule, etc.
