I doubt that the money is being spread out evenly. It might wind up going to re-establishing utilities, roads, comms, etc. There's also big spending power differences around the world. US$100 where I am might be a dinner date (no drinks). In other parts of the world it can be a couple of months wages.

Am aware of cost difference. But for reference, every time donnie shoots a tomahawk cruise missile at Iran, there went 2M up in smoke. And we have fired way more than one. Way way way more. So the entirety of aid for a major international disaster is less than 2 cruise missiles. So generous.
