I used to be a huge music fan from a young age and have always bought lots. Last time I went into our local record shop they had reduced the CD racks from seven 10m units down to one 5m unit. All extra space is now filled with kitchen appliances. The shop is called JB Hi-Fi but should be renamed JB Air Fryers.

TBF, when was the last time you bought a chicken korma from Currys? Or rented a radio from (the long defunct) Radio Rentals, or got a car-phone from Carphone Warehouse. Which is now part of Currys - life is a circle.
I recently found myself discovering smaller, less well-known artists. Often their stuff is more rough around the edges and way less "polished", but that is part of the charm.
There's still good music to be found out there if you go looking for it, just less easy to find than it was.
The less said about the AI slop music the better. Stuff sounds even worse than Kesha.
I think CDs are definitely going to go away, more so than vinyl, as vinyl has a kitsch quality because it has "warmth", or whatever the vinyl audiophiles call it. I'm a CD/digital music person, I want the highest quality available, and you can replicate the CD quality exactly with digital music. You can't do that with vinyl.
I do make sure that any time I pay for digital music it's FLAC/uncompressed, If they want to sell me lossy compressed audio that's 10% of the quality, then it should be 10% of the price. Many artists recognise this and specifically offer FLAC downloads. I just wish more people would, so FLACs become more prevalent.

Well, quite!
Attempting to ban an otherwise legitimate set of tools is both artistically restrictive and impractical. There are things that should be banned (autotune being the most obvious candidate - if you can't sing or play properly, get a different job - such as acting) simply on grounds of taste.
Sure, there are musicians who prefer not to use some technologies: Queen's early albums contained the statement no synthesizers. But that is a professional, individual, choice. And one that is not imposed or set in stone.
