And did amybody actually check its performance in that? Check in person, that is, and not simply get some other LLM to do it.

Even if it was able to track Cymraeg, would it be able to follow Gog, vs Hwntw? Could it distinguish a Cardi or someone from the south-west? If it was trained on standard written Welsh it would be miles away from how anybody talks, and even if it was very well trained it would be as baffled as me trying to follow anyone who talks like our local farmers do.

Unbiased ? Did it know what you were thinking or asking it for, if it did then you know it is already biased into that idea.

Auditor general criticises ‘irregular’ Industry Wales accounts
The auditor general sounded the alarm about the “irregular” accounts of a wholly Welsh Government-owned company, warning of a lack of evidence to support financial claims.

In response to a letter from the Auditor General for Wales to the Senedd’s Public Accounts Committee concerning Industry Wales’ 2023-24 accounts, CEO DR Jenifer Baxter has made the following statement:
“As is reflected in the report from Audit Wales, the issues outlined are historical and relate to a project undertaken by Industry Wales at the request of the Welsh Government between 2021-23. “Since then, Industry Wales has already taken great strides in addressing shortfalls in governance identified following the appointment of a new CEO in March 2024. “We have worked closely and transparently with Audit Wales throughout the process and have already implemented its recommendations in full. “It is imperative people should have trust in organisations granted public funding and that that funding should provide clear value for money. “With new senior leadership and clear governance procedures, Industry Wales will demonstrate that value.”

Just how many of those companies are still in Wales?
Slightly OT but if like me you actually live in Wales and don't speak the lingo, you can have no end of fun getting Google et al to translate Welsh into English. The translation tools struggle and seem to insert random (and often highly inappropriate bordering on NSFW) words and phrases into every translation.
