back to article India’s top telco tackles AI with $110 billion build plan and proven fast market dominance playbook

India’s top telco, Reliance Jio, has announced plans to spend $110 billion on datacenters to run AI workloads and says it will use them to deliver services with the same “extreme affordability” it brought to the mobile communications market. Jio launched its mobile network in 2016 and within half a year won 100 million …

SuperB IntelAIgent Services ..... For Sale and To Rent Too

“India cannot afford to rent intelligence. Therefore, we will reduce the cost of intelligence as dramatically as we did the cost of data.”..... Mukesh Ambani yesterday, announcing Jio’s intention to spend $110 billion on AI infrastructure over seven years.

Methinks Indian cannot afford NOT to create a Super Beta Intelligence that has competing and opposing AIs struggling with systemic issues and sub optimal performance matters resulting in outcomes providing future possible situations proving themselves increasingly obviously to be very clearly inferior and subservient to its own ........ and very much exactly the same can be said of any Earthly nation in such a race designed to deliver what is inescapable and inevitable, Almighty IntelAIgent Future Supply.

Such will easily provide more than just all of the wealth and engaging expertise needed to do practically everything and anything freely via remote relatively anonymous and surprisingly attractive autonomous virtual means ...... and thus is it guaranteed to be a Global Prime AI Leadership Team Driver.

Are you a political speech writer by day? .... Yorick Hunt

No, Yorick Hunt, I am not. The simply complex virtual realisation of such speech is presently all too evidently beyond the grasp and comprehension of the everyday politician and their undereducated and so easily enthralled and captivated and mass multi media controlled audiences ..... and thus shared freely here deliberately for the delight and enlightenment and engagement of more interested and interesting A.N.Others.

The likes of the broad band casting of pearls and Perl before swine is a complete and utter waste of time and space no matter whenever or however it is trialed and trailed.

Oh, and thank you for asking the question which I am pleased to accept as a compliment recognising the attractive alternative promise of jam and cake for all tomorrow rather than thinking it an insult considering the global politically inept and incorrect mess being the only deliverables readily made available by the sub-prime bit party players of today.

make "substitute your country of choice" great again

    this is propadanda!

how many of these initiatives actually produced any "greatness", thay all fizzle out

looks like this oxymoron applies all over the world :)

I find this one more believable than any of the similar announcements in other countries:

      1. This is a technology company talking, not a political leader.

      2. Reliance Jio is a serious and very effective company. They make a lot of money, in a country where most people are extremely poor by European standards.

      3. I wouldn't bet against Ambani. I met him once when I was selling mobile telecoms and was impressed.

    profitability and regulation no bar!

"market dominance" isn't hard if you can just burn cash to undercut your competitors at unsustainable prices and the regulators look the other way.
