back to article The exascale offensive: America's race to rule AI HPC

A silent arms race is accelerating in the world's most advanced laboratories. While headlines focus on chatbots and consumer AI, the United States is orchestrating something far more consequential: a massive expansion of supercomputing power that may reshape the future of science, security, and technological supremacy. They keep mentioning climate change

Which is weird. The US is certainly not planning to model climate change with theirs under the don. Was this news? opinion? It doesn't appear to have anything to back it up at all, it's just a weird series of assertions made by somebody I've never heard of who doesn't seem to claim any particular qualification. It might as well just but one of those overly-long manifesto-style comments that some randoms like to post.

Weirdly the complete lack of any effort to be convincing is the only thing which suggests the article isn't the work of an LLM, since any self-respecting LLM would have hallucinated quotes from a made-up expert in support of the text.

Three other equally as shit articles on AI in the last two months by this "author", also need to be taken in to account.
