    Could be helpful

    This could help nuclear power by allowing some experimentation again. There are a lot of ideas floating around for ways to make reactors better and cheaper, but nobody is allowed to build even small test reactors without massive regulatory costs and time at present.

    Some ideas worth trying:

    - rather than having a molten salt reactor where the fuel salt is also the coolant, put the fuel salt in standard nuclear pins, and have a separate non radioactive coolant salt that is pumped around.

    - moderate the reactor with Ytrrium Hydride.

    - cool the reactor using heavy nitrogen gas, and pass it directly through a turbine to produce power without needing a heat exhcanger.
