For the price of a single 24 port Cisco switch, we bought eleven Unifi switches that are 2.5 times faster and layer 3. No brainer.

Price is one thing – I don't mind paying a bit more for good support – but you no longer get that from Cisco, so we're moving too. The last interaction was basically "we don't what happened, so it must have been your fault". Thanks for nothing! And things are only getting worse with the acquistions which tend to be followed by sacking developers and leaving the code to rot.

Our annual Cisco maintenance was just under $50K a year. Only heard from our sales rep annually to renew that.

We asked for a dramatic reduction down to a half dozen devices as we had tons of spares and were comfortable doing so. The phone began ringing within 5 min with invites to lunches, days out on booze cruise yachts and other inducements.

Lord, it feels good to just say 'no thank you'.
