Does the small island of Taiwan have the coal reserves to fuel an AI powerhouse ?

When it reunites with China that won't be a problem.

Whilst I don't see that as a good thing, Pooh has been building a purpose-specific invasion fleet to be capable of invading Taiwan by 2027, and that's likely more about pressuring Taiwan's leadership to "voluntarily re-assimilate with China" than real desire to invade and trash the place.

Yeah but I wonder about the effectiveness of the new landing ships that they're developing. One set of three is ready to go and is undergoing sea trials while the other set is being built. So any invasion will heavily rely on these tow sets of landing craft. A couple of well-aimed air-to-surface missiles will cancel the invasion very quickly. Plus I wonder about the true seaworthiness of the landing craft with their heavy legs and all. It's an 80 mile+ distance to cross from China to Taiwan's west coast. It would all get very interesting very quickly if Pooh decided to give the go-ahead.
