I imagine putin's instructions can now be sent in plain-text
since everyone knows who is calling the shots. No need to go to the trouble of encryption, etc. Besides, the bumbling idiots on the American side can't even figure out how to use it.
President Trump's dream 2026 budget would gut the US govt's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, aka CISA, by $491 million - about 17 percent – and accuses the organization of abandoning its core mission in favor of policing online speech. The proposed cuts – which are largely symbolic at this stage as they need to …

Experience shows that every accusation by a GOP politician is a confession of guilt.
> "The budget eliminates programs focused on so-called misinformation and propaganda as well as external engagement offices such as international affairs,"
"Trust No One" is the foundation of ever conspiracy theory. Sowing distrust is the start of every conspiracy.
If you trust no one, you stand alone, and will succumb. Therefore, the first task of every conspirator is to destroy trust wherever it raises it's head.
Around the 1983-1989 range, there was a clear theme to everything the USSR put out in its press releases.
The world was bad. Enemies were everywhere, especially inside their own organizations, working on hurting the interests of the USSR. Everyone was in fear of getting investigated by the KGB for "helping the enemy" or sympathizing with the "counter-revolutionary forces".
They created a state of constant fear for all.
They also became fully obsessed with explaining their every move as part of a coherent plan to hurt their enemies, that they fully missed the point where only talk was left while their empire dissolved in economic and political irrelevance.
It became an empty shell of lies on top of other lies, while largely ignoring reality.
Based on their early policy decisions I see the U.S. under Trump II following the lead of the late USSR into irrelevance...
The real enemy to liberty is the electrical signals within Kristi Noem‘s brain. Her photo call in El Salvador was vomit inducing.
I hope her keynote speech was appropriately booed… though on the balance of probabilities half of the attendees there voted for ‘You Know Who’ and also possess assorted weaponry.
Indeed, this is old.
- Nixon saw conspiracies everywhere. He let the Vietnam War derail into a disaster.
- Reagan hated everyone and knew little. He gave the US the savings and loans crisis. But he could could tell it so soothing.
- GW Bush was wholly ignorant and a draft dodger. He gave the US the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and precipitated the 2008 global financial meltdown.
Then there are the sidekicks for the dirty works, eg, Spiro Agnew, Newt Gingrich, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld.
Mad King Orange I and his crew are a caricature of all of them.
Stop buying the authoritarian hype. Anything Trump and friends do is immediately jumped on and spun as bad. E.g., "Because who needs cybersecurity when there’s culture wars to win". How does that statement emerge from stopping censorship? Does this publication and the lefty contingent want censorship, loss of freedom and to become slaves? There was a time when the left stood for freedom, democracy, free speech and human rights. Now it doesn't seem to care, it just wants control. I guess that's why communism is no different to fascism in outcome for the people. They're both evil. Also, if anyone cares to look at the evidence there are a lot of unanswered questions about that election regarding mail in ballots and duplication. That seems to happen in all elections but the extent is the issue and it has not been investigated properly. It should be. Or does this publication think it's ok as long as their candidate gets in? I'm certain there are good things CISA did and I hope they survive but the only sure way to get rid of the bad when it's of critical mass is to close it down or cut viciously. Sure some things worth keeping get cut too but they will survive ultimately because they have value.
>Does this publication and the lefty contingent want censorship, loss of freedom and to become slaves?
People are getting grabbed off the street and detained for writing the wrong thing. Tourists are actually scared of visiting. I myself always wanted to visit the USA, and I'm not going to do it until the situation changes, because I have criticized Trump on social media and I'm scared of what immigration personnell might do to me. That's not the same thing as having a Facebook post removed. It's not even the same game.
Also: the president says he is above the law (ok, a judge he appointed said that, ffs) and openly wonders whether he has to follow the constitution, judges are arrested, checks and balances are removed. People are grabbed from the streets for wearing the wrong clothes and deported to a forced labour camp, without any judicial oversight, no trial, nothing.
This does not look good.
I would like to go back to the USA at one point, I have friends there, there's still places I would like to see, there's places I would like to show to my kids - but not under the current conditions. Canada is nice as well, and we could do worse than visiting e.g. Victoria, spend a while in the national parks there. Or spend a couple of weeks in Scandinavia.
Bad people and a few mistakes are being grabbed off the streets. "If" a person is in a country illegally they should be grabbed and deported. If you go legally you're fine. Stop listening to the media hysteria, they find an outlier that supports their open borders destructive narrative and amplify it. I don't know about you but when I am a guest in someone else's country, I behave according to their laws and customs and I go legally.
Except they are taking PhD students off the street (by masked agents, not by going to them at home or study as the police might in order to ask questions) simply for disagreeing with the gov policy. In a country that claims to offer freedom of speech, how is that acceptable?

How do you know they're bad people? There's been no due process for a lot of them. Just an accusation by government agents, then off they go on a plane to a camp.
What's stopping those same agents from targeting the people they don't like? If you don't see the problem with this then that's a huge problem.
Not to mention "a few mistakes" - there should not be any mistakes with this stuff!
Would you like to be one of those "mistakes"?
please give me your name and address so I can tell ICE that I think you are a member of a dangerous gang intent on murder in the USA.
then they can come and check on you.
See how that goes, dipshit
See how you would like living in el salvador prison just because I think your a dangerous freak (which on reflection of your statements looks to be correct)

The desperately-contrived "evidence" was comprehensively reviewed, including in multiple court cases. The "questions" were answered conclusively. Trump even went on to be elected for a second term - which seems to be going pretty much as predicted. I can see how that may explain your reluctance to let go of the Biden administration.
There is also a judiciary problem. The judges are appointed (by both parties) that are not unbiased. I have not heard anything of the investigations and rulings which seems odd considering the entirety of the mainstream wanted the Dems to win. Can you send the links? Where they have factual reports and evidence is shown / discussed.
I understand the desire to help truth deal with lies but am uncomfortable with using censorship - which will just end up being used against the truth.
Far better to help the truth be promoted and better understood, to educate people to be able to see what is a truth and what is a lie. But this is much harder: it needs time and effort by people and critical thinking that might take them out of their comfort zone and speak out against what some of their friends are saying -- this last is the hardest of all to achieve.

Freedom to peacefully protest?
Democracy... Like ignoring the democratically elected officials?
Freedom to criticise genocide?
Freedom to due process?
Wake up. The very things you mention are being destroyed by Trump right in front of you. You are still in the "it won't happen to me" stage of denial.
Here's a link that you'll no doubt not read: How Trump will hide his anti-democratic politics in plain sight

"Given Trump has been incorrectly banging on for years about how the 2020 election was rigged against him – in reality, the real-estate tycoon lost, and Joe Biden won fair and square – quelle surprise that Donald has an almighty beef with CISA."
That's not what Oklahoma's children are to be taught in school: Oklahoma wants to teach kids Trump’s false version of the 2020 election where he was cheated out of victory
Reading the comments above is a scary thing to do.
Seriously, it's become a complete and utter gutter level brown stain show.
Is this what happens when people become radicalised without knowing that they have become radicalised.
I wonder how many of the above commentards would be prepared to speak to their parents in the same manner.
It also seems that many of you don't realise that it's not who is in the presidents seat that is the problem.
It's the ones behind the scene that have always been there, the ones that don't need to care which side the president is on because they continue to pull the strings regardless.
You are being manipulated from all sides, it's time to step back , think critically for yourselves and have a look at what's actually going on, outside of social media.
Do you honestly believe that BlackRock etc care who you vote for, think again...
