back to article Ex-CISA chief decries cuts as Trump demands loyalty above all else

America's top cyber-defense agency is "being undermined" by personnel and budget cuts under the Trump administration, some of which are being driven by an expectation of perfect loyalty to the President rather than the nation. That's according to Jen Easterly, who led the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, …

There are so many parallels now with 1930s Germany it's just scary.

    Wikipedia were asking for trouble...

...basing their organisation in a dictatorship.

Maybe Canada can offer a safe harbour for them.

It might be fun if Trump replaces everyone in US security with knuckle-dragging MAGA muppets. Lots more embarrassing leaks.

Not if you actually care more about your country (Assuming you're American) than politics. Lack of patriotism is part of what got us in this mess - People putting politics or their pocketbook ahead of country.

Not so fast you party pooper

Yeah, all nice and good but, hey, Easterly's just so wrong on this, she's clearly "gone off the rails". I mean, didn't she get Noem's Crystal Clear Memo that "it's not the job of CISA to be the Orwellian Ministry of Truth"? You know, CISA "were weren't deciding what was truth and what was not" so we have to correct all this now; "Just wait till you see what we're able to do" with our new brand of Orange Truth™ 2.0!

After all, truth and facts are just like professional wrestling, you have to choose the #winning team that you like best, which is ours, as enforced by Laura Loomer's asscrack caliper loyalty comptrol. And that's why we'll "hunt and harden our systems", by hunting down those who contradict Orange Truth™, and hardening our DOGE brownshirt wankers' actions to thoroughly skin, gut, exenterate, eviscerate, disembowel, and remove all functioning innards out of CISA, CSRB, and the likes, to make them stronger, as empty shells, like a cosplay egg, with hair extensions ...

It's biological see. Catch us in a so-called "lie" (you disloyal bastards) and we cut you off vindictively, over and over again, until Orange Truth™ 2.0 #wins. It's governmental autotomy. And if we don't "#win" the next elections, we'll just have to get rid of those too!

    l’état, c’est moi

    The state is me.

That quote, ascribed to Louis XIV, the Sun King, seems to be the mission statement and foundation of Mad King Orange I.

So, under MAGA, you can only be loyal to your nation and your country if you are loyal to the new Orange Sun King.

Prepare to give your life for your King.

    For Trumpers!

    And loyalty!

    Was big fan of CISA

I was one of the biggest fans of CISA at one time.

Thought that they were one of the only agencies that was worth its cost.

Then the beans were spilled on the censorship efforts that the government pushed on were driven by CISA.

So, yes Cybersecurity is National Security, however censorship is not.

    Let the downvotes begin!!

"more serious, more complex, more dynamic threats"

"more serious, more complex, more dynamic threats"

    So, not Trump then.

Exactly how much of a security risk does a president have to be before those sworn to uphold the constitution start thinking bad things ?
