back to article Microsoft 365 Copilot gets a new crew, including Researcher and Analyst bots

The latest update to Microsoft 365 Copilot brings AI-powered search, so-called reasoning agents, and a new Agent Store. Some users already have access to certain features, while others may have to wait through May. One of the additions is AI-powered enterprise search, which once challenged enterprise search vendors because of …

    Generative AI value

"Gartner projects that worldwide generative AI spending will surpass $644 billion in 2025, up more than 76 percent from 2024."

el Reg recently printed an article:

    https://www.theregister.com/2025/04/22/bad_trip_coming_for_ai/

... about how reasonably easy it is to poison music, images and video so that humans don't notice anything but a generative AI learning thingie will rapidly become pished/stoned/fucked.. You can be sure that Disney and co and every musician ever will very rapidly safeguard their works.

So it looks like image/video/music generators will become pretty crap. That's generative AI.

LLMs that are trained on text are also only as good as their inputs. Unfortunately, their input is rapidly being tainted by their output. That too is a downwards spiral.

I have seen seemingly miraculous responses to text prompts and spun up some piccies that I could not possibly hope to draw. However, I think the rise of the machines is much over hyped.

The rise of the machines will only happen when its general intelligence. All signs point to AI doing what it wants to get what it wants. Along with specification gaming there has already been other research (I can't remember the video I watched about it), the video shows AI at the moment, perform totally different in the lab to what they do when released in the wild. They behaved in the lab but then didn't when out of it. For example being trained to go for chests in the lab, but once released, decided they wanted all the keys instead, I'm sure it was a Robert Miles vid but can't find it on his channel.

for the definitive method on deleting AI, see John McAfee's method for deleting McAfee AV. That way always works.

      I like his backup methods.

John Connor and Kyle Reese have methods which work, too.
