It is part of Trump's genius plan to combat corruption. Encourage people to pay him bribes, then immediately fuck them over to teach them a lesson about thinking they can bribe politicians to get what they want. What a genius that man is!
I am sure it has nothing at all to do with greed or untrustworthiness or anything. I read on the internet that everything that man does is actually part of a highly complicated plan that mere morals simply can not comprehend.
One problem with 'entitled' people is that They do not recognise when You have done Them a favour - it is merely what They deserve, so They do not thank You or indeed consider that any thanks or favour or even acknowledgement may be due to You in return.

IF it should happen it would be a sign that American Politics has not completely failed 'the people' and may even recover from the onslaught of corruption & grift of late.

He failed last time because he tried to use the existing processes ... this time he is excluding ALL other parts of government by ruling via 'Executive Order'.
The Senate and the House of Representatives just 'get in the way' so Pres47 simply ignores them ... he is also trying to ignore the judicial side as well !!!

The tech companies invented cloud subscription as a way of extracting regular monthly payments for software rather than one-off purchases. Unfortunately for them, that system now also appears to have been introduced for "political donations".

I'd guess Boeing won't have a problem selling built, part-built or order slots given the backlog they've got.
Elsewhere I see a trial date has been set for 23 June in the US DoJ's criminal fraud case against Boeing over the 737 Max debacle. In the same report it says the company intend to plead guilty, so yet more reputational corrosion for Boeing, albeit of a recycled nature.
If we're honest here China is more than competent to eventually produce chips of similar power so why force them down that road quicker? He complains about trade deficit then takes action to make it even larger.
Am I missing something here?
The other point is they will have no issue getting these chips through another country if they want them. Do any countries really care what's exported? I understand checking imports but why would you invest in checking exports unless you have to do it for the country importing? It's not like China is going to be telling countries to make sure they don't get sent these chips.
China is currently nowhere able to produce such chips, but it has made astonishing progress since the first such sanctions were imposed. Perhaps, more importantly, its software developers are finding ways to do work with less powerful chips and fewer of them: another form of substitution that ill-thought out sanctions can encourage.
