    An investment firm I worked back in the day.

    This was a setup I instituted.

    The accountants (and me) had two PCs - one on a network with no route outside the building, except to the bank/trading-platform, and the other they could do anything they liked.

    Kill the messenger

    To avoid hearing bad news from the National Security Agency, fire those who work there and shut it down. NOAA reporting numbers indicating climate change: Shut them down! Measurements of air pollution showing bad air: Shut them down! Don't look up!
