Still going … long after Compaq, IBM, Rodime, HP, Tmex, , NXR, HP manufacturing all fucked off/left Silicon Glen- offshored by Capitalism/Corporate nickel and diming to the Far East building up TSMC and Chinese Manufacturing… which is the problem 40 years later.
Looks like Scottish Govt’s Scottish Enterprise have a far better ability to support.
ASML is a company that makes equipment that is part of the fabrication process.
ARM is an IP company exploiting an ISA.
I also think that taking the money for ARM wasn't a good long term strategy for the country (fantastic for the big shareholders though), but they are not comparable with ASML.
