HPE has fired back at the US Department of Justice’s objection to its takeover of Juniper Networks, with arguments that include an assertion that blocking the deal will benefit Huawei and therefore have national security implications. The enterprise tech giant this week filed a riposte [PDF] to the DoJ’s argument that a …

Wouldn't it be cheaper for HP to just buy the DoJ? It must cost less than $8bn, considering how little it cost to buy the entire government

    How HPE Can Get Approval

All they need to do is get rid of their DEI programmes and send some free samples to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC.

You need to update your address book. The current address is now "1600 Musk Way, Washington DC"

At least Musk has the technical knowledge too use a "free g[r]ift (definitely not a bribe)" donation from HPE. Don would use it under the podium to make him look taller ..

    Lovely!

"HPE asserts Washington has a “stated aim of reducing the use of Chinese technology in critical infrastructure globally.”

We can't have sovereign states deciding for themselves! Uncle Sam can decide for them and if they don't play to the US tune, they are then deemed 'nasty' states and need 'seeing to'.

Just look at the threats to the BRICS nations this week should they dare to undermine the dollar.

China has been in critical infrastructure for years and nothing has happened.

The real issue here is not critical infrastructure. It is China moving past the US in technology and influence and that is already happening.

Me opinión: I like merger HPE + some Photonic chip co. it had more sense, (it is not realistic to completely replace electronic chips in the short term) but HP labs from 2000 year works on that ligth tech, its time to accelerate realization. !!
