Samsung have just put out their updates for January?

I got mine 3 weeks ago, although that was admittedly the fastest I've had them for a while.

Presumably Google give the large manufacturers advance warning, or do they need to start once Google have released?

Please all take a moment to cry for big tech, remember those days when nobody gave a crap about patching code or updating firmware and all the money now spent of vulnerability management use to go on profits and fat cat pay rises. Ahhh the golden innocent age of technology.

    That's why

Phones should not allow any USB device to be plugged in when they are locked. Just refuse to recognize anything, the only thing the USB port should be capable of in a locked device is charging. Apple does this by default for 5-6 years now, I'm surprised Android hasn't followed suit - or is this a patch for older versions of Android without such protection?
