    Not really, as history shows. Oracle is known to kill anything open on a whim.

    As a former Oracle employee (hence anon), that really only leaves Clay to succeed Larry and that .... would not be good.

    MySQL and Sun where separate purchases. What they got from sun where Java, Solaris and Sparc processors

      Sun acquired MySQL AB in 2008, Oracle acquired Sun in 2010.
