I'm no Google fan, but they were right in that CISPE absolutely should have carried on the lawsuit against Microsoft, because a) they would have won, and b) then consumers across the board might have actually had some proper remedy against Microsoft, and c) Microsoft would have been legally forced to stop being such complete c*nts.
Instead, folding just gives Microsoft the win, and CISPE members get just enough of a pat on the head from Microsoft that they're gaslit into believing that everything's now rosy. And consumers continue to be screwed by Microsoft's predatory, discriminative, and punitive licensing restrictions, and unfair incentives that significantly benefit Azure.
Any competent competition authority would split Microsoft up and force Azure to stand on its own two feet. Which it wouldn't, because it's comparitively shit. Same goes for Oracle Cloud.
