back to article No, Broadcom did not just end VMware's flagship VCDX certification program

Broadcom has made an embarrassing mistake: sending an email in which it mistakenly announced the end of its VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) certification. The VCDX certification is sometimes likened to a Master's degree or compared to super-high-level certifications like the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE). …

    Yet another cert offically useless

This can be up there with your Netware certifications, and MSDE! Like the IT tramp stamps.

    Their only mistake was...

... sending the e-mail out a few weeks before they'd planned to.

  3. Press any key

The VCDX program continues as usual.

    Is current tense.

Broadcom's comment contains no indications of future intent to continue it.

    FAIL

    Broadcom

Continuing digging the hole it has created for itself.

Congratulations on supporting your investment so well.

    Clearly "Not with the Program"

when you ask impertinent questions like "If VCDX was never going to be ended, why was that document prepared?"

Rather career limiting if asked by a Broadcom employee I imagine.

Inevitably there will come a day when a VCDX will be as relevant as a Novell Netware CNA.

    Rumour has it…

Replaced by Knights program. Some didn’t realise that was a partner only program in Broadcom speak. FAQ was produced. Error realised, but email was still accidentally sent. Oooops.

    They might as well

It's not like they've gone out of the way to pi** off everyone that had a "home lab" running on free (to use) VMware
