    So shocking...

What? No! Say it ain't so! Even after all of the bribery in the guise of joint ventures or local investments (ie the BYD battery development scheme), Apple still hasn't gotten what they want from China? I am simply shocked. Maybe if you put in a few more billions worth of investments. Maybe you'll get total access to that sweet, sweet Chinese market. Transfer the money and find out, it's the only way Tim.

Life is more than a phone, Tim

Apple has ceased expanding their product line for ages now with a big concentration on phones. Ok, the phones do well, but it's still a fashion market that can turn on you in a day. There also hasn't been any big advancements in the usefulness of phones in ages. More people are digitally playing with themselves than ever before, but that's not moving the world forward. Apple's computers are being made even worse with no way to do any upgrades including new storage media without taking it to Apple. My cheesegraters have morphed over time to the point where they are completely maxed out and can still do useful work. To have bought them fully expanded would have meant not buying a home.

China has long been an important market for Apple

There's your problem. Being a billion dollar company and having no issues about trading in a country that continues to abuse its "Developing Country" status and has massive human rights issues. "What, people are censored there? Jailed for questioning Winnie the Pooh, I mean Xi? Oh well, as long as they make me more billions I don't actually give a shit" --- Tim Apple.
