I'm not quite sure of the logic of splitting these unless it's to offer the option of just going ahead with the cheapest when the Treasure quibbles about the cost.

In a former Labour government (not, I imagine, this one), she'd have been a Nationalised Treasure.

    Paper works well

I have two passports and always pick the best one at a border, visiting the UK means I show my UK passport but visiting any country in the EU means I show them my US passport and just keep walking in. And visiting Brazil means that the UK passport is easy so the US passport stays in my pocket.

Selecting the best physical passport for each country make traveling so easy - every time the officials just take a quick look at the paper passport, no digital data checking is much faster and easy but I always shave before I visit a new country.

Much the same with my UK & Canadian Passport, while they carry for the most part equal weight for most countries in terms of visa\time allowed in country.

Though I've not visited Europe in years, I'd pull out the Maple Leaf if I wanted to go there.

I occasionally got stuck behind an NZ colleague going into Milan and for some reason it always took so much longer than anyone else.

Ive never seen such a blatant use of steganography before. let me decode the hidden message in the announcement:

"Attn Fujshisu, Crapita. Large buckets of cash awaiting. Get your snouts out now"

Just doing my civic duty, squire.

It's tricky with Labour as they no longer accept certain garments or tickets.

Jus recategorise it as office supplies to aid in meetings (not everyone is able to impresses an ambassador naked, and that is nothing for our senior politicians to be ashamed of).

    "Jobs created"

Isn't it lovely: new jobs created. "Service sector growing." Brexit keeps giving.

Big consultancies paying peanuts to people actually doing the work and having the rest of the money shifted overseas. Wouldn't be surprised if Home Office threw in some skilled worker visas, to further maximise profit.

    The official withdrawal was when?

...and they're talking about this now?

      FAIL

Re: The official withdrawal was when?

There's not a single mention of the EU in this article, and the UK was never a Schengen member anyway, so this isn't an EU-related issue. The UK borders are for the most part air&sea so deal with travellers from all over the world. The only land border the UK has is with Ireland, where the CTA makes it a special case anyway.

Re: The official withdrawal was when?

But the uncertainty over what Brexit would have made it almost impossible to plan projects like this until the last minute. The CTA might have been one of the few certainties.

Let's be generous and say they'll hire 10 (!) people to focus on cybersecurity and pay them the top (!) salary.

At GCHQ rates that's 1% of the pie.

I think you have your question inside-out.
