    Satellite Broadband

There is fast Satellite Internet. None of it is broadband, Nor is any mobile/cell system no matter how fast.

Anywhere in USA with mains gas, or water, or sewerage, or electricity can have fibre or HFC pretty cheaply.

Hm, last time I tried that, I looked really silly at the supermarket with fibre trailing out of my pocket.

I'm not looking for broadband, I'm looking for Google Maps when I'm in the "back end of bumfuck egypt." Granted, Google Maps does have an offline mode, *if* you've planned ahead and downloaded the correct area...

Until they roll out shorter 7G wavelengths that go through steel roofing, eg the 100pm band, I don't see satellites fixing the not-spot that is my home anytime soon.

You can solve that yourself with a cellular repeater. Or just enable wifi calling and you won't need a cell signal in your house assuming you have decent internet and your wifi is set up properly to cover your whole house.
