    Sure... that'll work

    Changing some microcode to fix a manufacturing defect that causes oxidization in the VIAs... sure... sure... sure.

    Scumtel need to own the problem and issue a recall... but scumtel being scumtel... they've instead decided to deny, deny, deny, blame the vendors for running out of spec whilst telling vendors they CAN run it out of spec, infact ENCOURAGED vendors to run things out of spec... who cares about power draw if it gets them those few extra benchmark points over AND or a couple of extra frames in some select gaming titles.

    Obvious why

    It is obvious why MSI and Asus are at the head of the queue for Raptor Lake microcode updates. Both focus on gaming computers, often overclocked.

    The Reg did not try top contact Lenovo? And what about Gigabyte, also big in the world of gaming? And SuperMicro?
