    MS is starting to sound more like a SovCit the more this stuff goes on. "This isn't a merger I am simply transporting currency into an account and coincidentally getting control of a company"

      But I wonder what is the difference between MS's acquisitions and that of most any other company, besides being MS? Acquiring tech via purchase is common and far easier / faster than developing from scratch, and is therefore somewhat common.
