And in the USA, politicians are criticising the prosecution of trump, and recently in Pennsylvania, GOP politicians booed and hissed at 2 Jan 6th police officers who were being honoured.

But those issues are distractions. The original point is sound, that Russia is governed by a small gang of people who stole an entire country when the Soviet Union collapsed, and with crooks in charge the rule of law simply collapsed.
Arguably China's going the same way.

Periodic table of cybercrime
Hi, heard about this one.
Essentially in order to beat the criminals you have to learn to think like them.
In this case the best way to do this is to create a "Periodic Table" with symbols and locations
on this table denoting the type and mechanism.
So there would be a frauds column, a hacks column, etc with subsets of things like social engineering
attacks, physical compromises, etc.
It is an interesting concept and may generate some useful discussion as well as allowing folks to
quickly identify something threatening and devise a sensible response.
