If pounds and pennies were the only way to pay, the vast majority of ransomware and other online scams would not be possible - ban crypto.

Distraction from the real fix

THE solution to ransomware is a criminal ban on payment of ransom, with mandatory prison time for any CEO of any company that pays, and massive fines for the company, I'd suggest 1 year of revenue as the minimum.

It's the only way this stops, by going after the money. The ransomware perpetrators are beyond the reach of law, the enablers are not.
