Speaks nice, presuambly gets his golden handskake

Are real safeties actually a thing? Easy enough to fool from reports I've heard. Ad-hoc would be the term.

Well, that's certainly a bunch of "I don't know anything about any of this, but here's my entirely uninformed opinion anyway". Why not blame it on the reverse vampires while you're at it?

    Tulip mania

several other high-profile OpenAI employees had recently left the company, including Daniel Kokotajlo and Jan Leike. Another founder member of OpenAI, Andrej Karpathy, left earlier this year but insisted his move was not the result of any particular event.

    Law Suits

Given the number of widely reported copyright infringement law suits being flung at OpenAI, for someone v. high up in the org, now could be a good time to leave in case any of the legal cases give OpenAI big trouble, especially if they may already be unhappy* with direction company is / will be taking.

    * as the article mentioned various other key staff leaving recently then its not a huge leap to guess it's not necessarily the happiest ship.

Sutskever leaving through the front door...

forestalling a later rush for the back passage. :)

I assume these emigre will be leaving with bags of money under their arms in the form of their shares in OpenAI.

Choose Wisely urSource and urCourse to the Roads Ahead. Many are Dead End Cul-de-Sacs

Whenever you can mine and process and enrich raw and rare core source elements in base metadata CodeXSSXXXX for NEUKlearer HyperRadioProACTive AI Delivery/Supply/Provisional Revisionary Product Manufacturing is there a natural and supernatural fork available with one direction travelling the limitless almighty power and free energy route/root and the other exploring and entertaining the weaponisation of existential threats imagined capable of exercising mass remote human command and global control with fear and destruction.

Only one is future progress leading with/to a positively reinforcing, attractively addictive, mutually advantageous, helpful existence/virtually augmented reality.

The other one goes nowhere great and good really fast .... and is gravely to be regarded and avoided at all costs for the price exacted and extracted is at best, sudden quick death.

Please note ...... the above in no way suggests OpenAI personnel, either currently engaged or recently departed and employed elsewhere are travelling along such paths presently, or even that they will be travelled by them in the future. It is just that they are readily available.
