back to article RSA Conference 2024: The good, the bad, and the downright worrying

San Francisco hosted tens of thousands of computer security folk last week for 2024's RSA Conference – and the vibe was a mix of gloom about the state of infosec and some hope for improvement. You can find all of our coverage from the event and related stories right here, and our vultures discussing the show as it winds down …

    A great RSA conversation

The Register is always very helpful describing the world today.

I've always secured my data by writing it to a NAS called Macavity ... organized so that when anyone looks for it they will say "Macavity's Not There!"

I think that the comments on today's drug laws are OK but I remember seeing nobody with any drug problems in the days before all these drug laws, I thought that LSD was nice and we would all smoke together every night listening to music. In the days before the drug laws nothing was expensive like it is these days and nobody ever had any of the problems that we see today.

Drug laws have created all the current "drug problems" and today's world of "collecting data and selling it" has resulted in all the malware issues.

    Yes!

(for most kids at least ... even some nerds I think)
