Here is an idea.

How about giving them an incentive to build here. Current plan is to tax us more, take a cut off the top and give it to them.

We could go the cheaper option of reducing taxes on them and us and take a look at the regulations. Reducing the regs we don’t need any more will save them money, and reduced government staffing (saving us money). Before I am miss understood: I am not talking about safety and environmental regs.

Tax it till it is dead then subsidize it.

The 160 (potential) jobs are quite expensive at $750,000 each !!!

Makes perfect sense (!!!???) .... race to the bottom, over years, to get cheapest production costs by moving manufacture to China/Taiwan/etc

then

buy back the same jobs at the highest price, too little .... too late !!!

Presumably that the companies got to offshore jobs for years to save $$ and then get $$$$$ handed to them to 'bring jobs back' - rinse and repeat

Sorry, I might be missing this is a joke.

Else is it the usual snipe against the imagined 'other' .... usually defined as either a rabid commie or right-wing nut job depending on which 'other' your 'tribe' is attacking today.

The american definition of either extreme is based on pure prejudice ... not fact .... although after Trump, fact is no longer a requirement for any such discussion, hence my lack of certainty this is a joke.
