    At the moment there are no quantum computers doing useful work. Some manufacturers (like D-Wave) claim that they are but it's all just marketing talk. In fact, there's currently no quantum computer in existence which can perform calculations faster than classical ones, making the whole proposition that they are infinitely faster a theoretical conjecture.

    Some have stated we should see so-called Quantum Supremacy (where quantum computers can do calculations which aren't feasible for classical ones) in the next couple of years. I'm not holding my breath.

      With the possible capability of quantum computers and the fact they aren't here yet, I'm both holding my breath and breathing a big sigh of relief.

    Too soon.

    Sounds like it should still be on campus, funded by incubation cash. My local branch of CEX may always make more profit out of tech than these folks.

    Perhaps they will bag some debt dollars from Biden's giant sack of onshoring cash, or mil money from DARPA.

    I guess Muricans can take a punt with other people's money. If only the transputer had had enough cash to max out the options it pointed to.
