    How well-spoofed is it?

Does it run in circles, make no sense and is mostly unintelligible?

      That's the Trump-bot, obviously.

A Trump bot must not run because that would prove it is a fake.

Clearly some loser is terrified of losing to Biden twice in a row.

    Loophole

"Several states... have passed laws forbidding politicians from using deepfakes in election campaigns. The rules, however, are fuzzier when it comes to individuals using AI to create and distribute disinformation."

So it's illegal for Biden to use an AI avatar of himself as part of his campaign, but it's OK for someone else to use one as part of an anti-Biden disinformation campaign?

No, I think they're saying that it's illegal for a politician to use it to impersonate their opponent, but if you do it, the law might let you. I think using it to impersonate yourself would still be allowed, but I can't see why you would want to.

there might be reasons, depends on desired effect, like: I'm SO cool, I grok those computer thingies. Or: I'm not as old / ginger / whatever as they make me look. Or: I say one thing to one group, a completely different thing to another group (admittedly, politicans still beat bots at this game).

If caught breaking the law, how is that going to help if one has "immunity from prosecution"?

Given the sound quality of the average phone line, why would you need to use AI? Even a half decent human impersonator should suffice.

    Something strange going on

OK, this seems all a bit odd and probably a distraction from something else.

I didn't think the Dems were having proper primaries as Joe is the incumbent and wasn't going to be challenged

There are only 2 names on the ballot, Dean Phillips and Marianne Williamson. Joe ISN'T on the ballot due to some dispute over the date of the primary.

The results of this ballot are not binding with the Democratic National Convention due to the above

At the end of the day a court has ruled that the votes for a Democrat nominee don't actually count and the DNC can pick whoever they want. This was after Bernie got shafted by HRC.

The call says “Republicans have been trying to push nonpartisan and Democratic voters to participate in their primary. What a bunch of malarkey,”

And this IS true. Various RINOs, never-trumpers, uniparty cronies etc have been asking Dem voters to vote in the GOP primary and to vote for Nikki Haley

Although primary elections are held by the usual state and local election officials the rules for primaries are set by the political parties. Usually you can't vote in a partisan primary unless you're registered to that party. The state Republican party can easily craft rules to exclude non-Republicans or people who change their registrations at the last minute.

Everything I've seen about the 'write in' is dems trying to get democrat primary voters to write Joe Biden on the democrat primary ballot.

        Heck, they have a website:

So to the surprise of no-one with a functioning brain Trump beat the establishment corporatist warmonger hack in the NH primary.

And despite Joe's instructions to avoid 'the malarkey' Dem voters wrote his name in and he also 'won' NH.

Maybe this robocall was actually legit? Given that a few months ago a journo thought a real video of Joe was fake.
