back to article Pennsylvanians, your government workers are now powered by ChatGPT

Pennsylvania has signed up for a ChatGPT Enterprise plan, allowing the commonwealth's government employees to use OpenAI's generative artificial intelligence to complete day-to-day tasks, or so Governor Josh Shapiro hopes. Brave of you to assume that none of the existing staff do these things...

Wait now - are you accusing them of doing work?

Saying an AI can hallucinate is a bit obvious. We ourselves are artificial intelligences constructed from our lived experiences, some of us regularly quote absolute nonsense and many of us lie intentionally.

Do we have an AI that can intentionally lie yet? If we reached that advanced state we would no longer require politicians.

Current technology is still actually answering questions, it needs to evolve to the point where it can reply with a (possibly) related question to truely replace politicos.

    How Cheap can Government Get

At this point, if I had any kind of charge in this state I would contest it all the way to the SOCTUS.

    This is just WRONG.

I'm amazed the unions have not protested or resisted significantly

AI bots do not pay union dues.

Could we spot AI in the future from its lack of typos?

Government, local and national, is so crap, I'm not sure even AI could make it worse. Maybe the fails will be more epic, or just more amusing.
