    The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is set to carry out an investigation into public cloud infrastructure services

    Well, that's going to be a nothingburger.

    Obviously there is a push from the government to use multinational big corporations that operate on more favourable terms than domestic businesses which is already skewing the market.

    and if this is coming from the top, CMA can investigate to their hearts content and nothing will change.

    I doubt they can review the "blind" trusts certain decisionmakers are invested in.

    More to do with political donations that any technical or financial advantage. What do you get for your money - a backed -- in the "cloud".
