    Prediction

It probably means the prices will go down and businesses need to clear out their warehouses quicker.

I have read this advert before from Gartner several times over the years. I will stick with the standard rule for buying electronics: Do not put off buying til tomorrow if you can leave it for the next day.

A new platform release from Microsoft

Yes, the other recent ones saw strong uptake. Not. Most people I know are only just thinking about moving being forced to move to 11 - and then only because 10 is getting to EOL.

Prices are going to go up due to demand and that demand will be from Windows 10 going end of life and the hardware requirements of 11. AI hardware doesn't really sit in the same channels as other stuff. Sure there is shared hardware but I doubt it's going to cause that many problems as DDR5 memory isn't really that mainstream yet and ain't no fool getting a new rig for AI and using DDR4.

Pah. Who buys memory any more? Stick it in the cloud/ someone else's computer and let them buy it.

When the cost of buying something goes up, the cost of renting it tends to follow suit.
