    I "updated" my July 2015 Surface Pro 3 to Linux 4 years ago. Runs just fine for the occasional portable use I need.

    And NO, I'm not upgrading a Windows 10 Desktop to Lipstick-on-a-pig 11. That'll go the Linux route as well if Microsoft doesn't see the crime of making millions of PCs become e-waste.

      Because people have been able to get W11 to run on systems that would normally not be able to, I think a monster class action against MS is needed.

      It is clear that this bogus excuse of not having a bit of hardware is pure marketing PAP.

      Find out how many PC's are not upgradeable to W11 multiply that by 1000 and that's the minimum figure to go for. (plus lawyers fees of course)

      That may (what the hell am I thinking) cause them

    iFixit had an April Fools article about Apple doing this, a couple of years ago.

    Now, how "affordable" will those parts be? And why should iFixit have some kind of exclusive rights? (If that's indeed the case.)
