back to article Spacewalk turns into spacework as cosmonauts grapple with ISS leak

One spacewalking cosmonaut was hit on their visor by a contaminated tether as a pair of International Space Station crew members ventured outside the outpost a few hours ago to investigate a leaky radiator. Streamed live on NASA TV, the spacewalkers had several tasks, but it was dealing with the leak earlier this month from a …

You try getting a bowl of soapy water, big enough to dip the ISS in, up there

Probably out of boredom and thirst they wanted to check if the legend that ISS is cooled by vodka is true.

Workmanship, or micrometeoroid / space junk damage?

Those radiators seem to spring a lot of leaks. Would be interesting to know whether this is a workmanship issue or debris impacts.

Just send up another case of duct tape on the next Progress.

    Is it any surprise?

After all these years is it any wonder the radiator's sprung a leak?

If it was a car it would probably be regustered as a "Classic" by now.

"The radiator had been delivered by one of the final Space Shuttle missions in 2010 but only fitted during a Russian spacewalk this year"

      So it's "new old stock"

Surely all they have to do is send up a space chicken in the next re-supply launch then crack an egg in the radiator?
