I don't even know where to begin about how completely fucking stupid this is as an idea.
The whole point of "sovereignty" as any brexiteer will tell you (I'm not a brexiteer) is not to be beholden to anyone and here we have some corp wallah wanting to keep all your data (grab you by the short and curlies) for money (or whatever other leverage said s/he decides on).
