back to article UK-US data deal could hinge on fate of legal challenges to EU arrangement

The UK has used a statutory instrument to introduce new rules designed to allow the sharing of personal data between the island nation and the US in compliance with data protection law. However, one law firm said the fate of the new arrangement could depend on the outcome of challenges to data-sharing rules established between …

Wasn't that the whole 'logic' of Brexit for the Rees-Moggs ?

The Eu would bend over backwards to keep all existing trade freedoms with the UK because ... something... something... German car makers

      Thanks for your concerns.

However, there are some Brits (and I mean voters, not just politicians/business vested interest people) that say we could solve the NHS problem if we went to a US style of healthcare.

There are some who STILL think brexit was a good idea, but of course, being in the EU was our best chance at retaining data protection

There are far too many dumb "MEGAs" ("Make England great again") to be able to fight this easily - our best hope is EU law alignment requirements (because despite the brexiteers efforts, we haven't magically left the continent of Europe and parked ourselves next to America or Australia, despite what their trade "deals" imply)
